The model displays the larynx and thyroid gland. The thyroid gland is an endocrine organ. Located below the thyroid cartilage in the neck, on both sides of the trachea. The human thyroid gland is named after a reddish brown gland, resembling a shield armor. The thyroid gland is the largest endocrine gland in adults, located in the anterior part of the neck.
